One of the most powerful and transformational practices that I know of personally is GRATITUDE.  It magically shifts my mind from what I don’t have, or what is “wrong”, to the abundance of blessings that I do have.  In this practice I am consistently being given more and more of all that is good.

One student commented to me after a workshop years ago (where we did a short gratitude journal exercise) that writing down all the things she was grateful for really gave her a new perspective.  She found this most helpful.  Give it a try.

An Attitude of Gratitude

Recently, I have been loving infusing my seated meditations with the feeling of gratitude.  Silently and sweetly contemplating all of the things, people, place, circumstances, body parts, … that I am grateful for.  What a beautiful way to infuse our day with sweet remembrance and joy.

Here are just a few things I am grateful for right now:

  • my amazing husband
  • my daughter’s laughter and health
  • the yoga yurt
  • my healthy eye sight
  • my garden that gives my family access to fresh, organic food every day
  • my animals
  • the color green
  • sunshine
  • my sweet friend Lourdes
  • that the beach is right down the road!
  • Kauai

Please share a couple things YOU are grateful for right now with me on Facebook.

Have a grateful day!
