For me personally, yoga was just ‘movement’ before I found my first Anusara® yoga class. In those beginning classes I learned of the “focal points, and loops and spirals”, and how to align my body optimally. This made so much sense to me!
I fell in love with the way those alignment principles helped connect my mind and body on the mat. Not only that, but blended with it’s playful and heart-felt approach, this practice radically transformed my connection to myself, and my LIFE.
This June I am offering yoga workshops in Kilauea, Kauai that will refine your understanding and connection to YOU, on and off the mat.
June 10: FOCAL POINTS AND BALANCED ACTION WORKSHOP
What if you could get the most awareness and mind-body connection from every single yoga pose, and from every fitness exercise, by learning just a few simple alignment principles?
This workshop will offer your tools that will enhance every physical activity you do! We will enhance the way in which you stand, reach and move in your body regardless of what you are doing. We will play with these principles in all-levels yoga postures, some including standing poses, inversions, back bends and balancing asanas.
In this all-levels, 3 hour workshop we will refine our understanding and our ability to optimally activate:
- muscular energy
- organic extension
- finding exquisite balance between the two
We will additionally focus on and refine our connection to:
- the 3 main focal points inside of our bodies.
Understanding these will assist you in making each stance and posture both grounded and light, steady and spacious.
