In this 3 hour workshop we will explore the Anusara ™ yoga Universal Principles of Alignment to find a new found strength and a joyful freedom in backbending asanas. Samantha Fox (Certified Anusara yoga instructor) will playfully guide all levels of students to safely bend backwards!

We will work with a new understanding in both the legs (what happens in the legs governs the low back) and the upper back (quite often the most stiff area in the spine).
Skillfully integrating the low back while opening the upper spine will open the door to freedom into a wide variety of backbends.The 3 hours will include a well-rounded asana practice, demos with clear instructions, partnering exercises designed to deepen understanding, and therapeutic yoga principles will be broken down and dissected as we flow.
