dancer at waterfallHappy New Year everyone!  As I move forward into 2011 I intend to live life full from my heart.  And when I fail, I intend to pause, to breathe deeply and try again.  Will you join me?

Today I am honored to share a testimony from a student who was visiting Kauai from Alaska, a year ago now, and reconnected to me today with this beautiful email.

“Hi Sam! I still think about you and your most delicious yoga classes and have been eager to return to Kauai for them, but it looks like we may be staying around home here in Alaska this winter…I tried to use the DVD I made of your class a few times and when i did it was great, but I need to attend your class or I am just too lazy!  I start looking around my house and suddenly I am folding laundry instead of doing your yoga!! Unfortunate, I know.  Anyway, I still have them tucked away and I am going to try to get to them once this week-

I must have taped your class shortly after the New Year’s holiday because I remember some of what you were saying.  You were saying something about the New Year’s resolution and everyone’s tendency to break them was because we have to be the change we seek, not just the end product of the actual resolution.  And after almost a year, I just wanted to say thank you for that- that has resonated with me so many times- little times here and there.  That truth that if you want to stretch your leg,you have to start deep within the hip joint and move from there or you would only be stretching your leg temporarily, and not really succeeding in really stretching you leg at all.  So thank you for your wonderful yoga classes, I still think about them, and as soon as I make it back to Kauai I will come see you!  I really enjoyed your classes, they were the best yoga classes I have ever attended-

Hope you and your family have a great New Year!
Love, Tania”

Many mahalos for sharing Tania!
